Doomed By The Bell.

So this crazy weather has given me a ridiculous cold. Instead of just resting, and trying to get rid of it, I've been on the internet. I did finally get around to uploading an old school project that I did with my good buddy Chris McGlynn (who I owe a phone call to) for an AfterEffects class back in our senior year at SVA.

Doomed By The Bell.

Dr. Doom kidnaps the cast of "Saved By The Bell". Captain America to the rescue!

It's a homage to the old 1960's Marvel Super-Heroes cartoons by Grantray-Lawrence Animation. They were ridiculously low budget, and instead of actually drawing new animation, they just took the old Marvel comics, and basically shook them around the screen. Add some bad voice acting, and VOILA! You have one of the greatest cartoons of all time.

I wanted to add sound effects, and splice in the old Captain America cartoon opening, but we ran out of time. We got the "B" we were both looking for, so we put the project aside, and continued with our thesis projects. All the voices are me, all the good animation was done by Chris, and all the bad stuff was me. The artwork is cribbed from Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, and Dave Gibbons. The cast of "Saved By The Bell" appears courtesy of NBC Productions.

Feel free to spread this around the web.

-Steve!
