Netflix 24: Singles

Y'know how no matter how much you really like a director, for some reason, there's one movie that kinda slips by, and you never end up seeing it? Well, as much as I like Cameron Crowe, 'Singles' was one of those movies for me.

How is it? If there was a definition in the dictionary for 'sophmore slump,' it would say "see 'Singles'." It's ambitious, but it never succeeds. It's a series of vignettes, woven together into a story of a bunch of singles in grunge-era Seattle. It's a nice snapshot of the era, but it's miscast, and sort of boring.

On the positive end, it has a bunch of interesting cameos, a great soundtrack, and Tim Burton's in it.
